About Me, About My Photography
I am a mother of four and a natural light, lifestyle photographer and my passion is capturing new life and the essence of childhood and the stories of family, from the miracle of birth to the mundane miracles of the everyday.
When I follow a family from bump, to birth, to babe, I get to know them well and am honored to share the story of the anticipation, arrival, and celebration of the new life alongside them. I am a member of the International Association of Professional Birth Photographers and am a volunteer photographer for The Tiny Sparrow Foundation, The Magic Hour Foundation, and The Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange. In addition to capturing new life and the innocence of childhood, I also get great joy out of photographing nature in all of its pure beauty.
I am also a writer with a master’s degree in English and am working towards an M.F.A. in Children’s Literature. I spent thirteen years teaching writing and literature at the middle and high school level before having children of my own and starting this new career that blends my passions for childbirth, photography, and writing.
Additionally, I am a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), and am currently certifying as a Postpartum and Birth Doula.
I am fully insured for on location photography.
My Style – Lifestyle Photography
Well, what people tell me is that I have an eye and capture their children and their lives in a unique way. I see the world differently through my lens. I see the story and find and pluck the moments that tell it purely, joyfully, and honestly. Telling the stories of new life and the grit and beauty of day to day life with children is what I do and what I love.
If you and your family are anticipating new life or would like to capture the moments of the little lives around you, I would be thrilled to talk about documenting the honesty of these fleeting, beautiful moments with you.
